All I Want For Christmas Is...

Sitting on my bed, watching Lala's Full Court Wedding & thinking about how this year went by SO fast. It's crazy, I can't believe that this year is pretty much over. But, I am excited for the holidays, because I am a Capricorn and who doesn't love all of the good things that come with Christmas... Well, I guess I'll stop rambling, here's my wishlist! I hope Santa reads my blog :-P.

  • WHO doesn't want an iPad? Especially one in a Louis case.. In lust!
  •  Second LV item in my wishlist... Catching my drift yet Santa? Lol, I have no words to explain this bag. It's beautiful, I love monogram speedy's but this one is so unique!
  • My ALL time favorite perfume, DKNY's Be Delicious Green Apple. This scent is simply amazing, I haven't worn in it almost two years, but I do remember when I wore this, I always got asked what I was wearing. Love it!

  •  My own brush belt! I love makeup, and one of my jobs is actually working for a makeup brand! Outside of work I do makeup for some cousins, my mom etc. and a brush belt & brushes for me to use is ideal!
  • These shoes are ah-mazing! Even though they are out of my budget, a girl can dream right? Two of my favorite things wrapped into one, cheetah print, and a sky high platform. HELLO LOVER, in my best Carrie Bradshaw voice ;-)
  •  On to a more practical shoe, I've been looking for the perfect wedge boots that are good for every occasion, can be dressed up & down and I have yet to find them, these are perfect though!

  •  Words can't explain how much I love these boots! Steve Madden never disappoints and his shoes are affordable!

Out With the Old, In With the New: Thrifting.

I recently discovered thrifting! For those who don't know what that means, thrifting is going to thrift store. Personally, I love thrifting because there's nothing as good as finding a new piece for your wardrobe knowing nobody else will have it. Bonus! I don't get a chance to do it as often as I'd like because it is very time consuming and when I go I don't like to be in a rush because I really want to go through the store from top to bottom. If you would've asked me If I would go thrifting a year ago today, I would definitely say no! Which is a shame, because I've found a few amazing pieces from my local thrift stores, and I wish I would've started earlier!

Pros of Thrifting:
-Finding very unique pieces.
-Amazing prices for good quality items; I got a pink blazer, with gold hardware for $7.99 and it fits like a GLOVE.
-Getting more bang for your buck!

Cons of Thrifting:
-Like I said, it is very time consuming, so make sure you have lots of time and patience. You don't want to miss out on pieces!
-The smell of the store, but it is worth it for the pieces you could find.
-The thought of having "someone else's" clothing. Nothing a dry cleaner can't fix!

Side notes: Don't limit yourself to where you shop! Keeping our budgets in mind of course, but trust me, you can find great things anywhere and I'm a person who will shop anywhere!

Current: Pedi!

This color is OPI's Purple Pompeii, It is on four of my toes, minus my ring toe.

Secondly, this is OPI's Mad as a Hatter, it is on my ring toe!

I'm sure you've all seen this color before. It's OPI's black shatter and it is on my middle toe, ontop of Pompeii Purple.

Fall Fashion Must-Haves

Today's September 21st and everyone knows what that means... Summer is officially over! Even though Summer 2011 was short and sweet, it's sad that it had to come to an end so quickly. So, I decided that there's no better way to bring in Fall 2011 with a fall fashion must have list! These are just a few things that I think every girl should have in her closet for this season.

1. Blazer! I love them and have already started to stock up on a few because they are great for transitioning into and out of seasons and they are stylish! Another great thing about blazers are that there are tons of retailers who sell them, so a diva on any budget can afford them and it's very safe to say they will never go out of style! Right now, my favorite blazers that I own are: a white linen one, which is perfect for spring and summer because it is very lightweight! My second one is a black boyfriend blazer which is a staple for every girls closet. And last but not least, a hot pink blazer. I went thrifting for my first time and found this gem, the best part is that it was only $6.99 and it is in mint condition! I've yet to wear this blazer but once I do you can expect to see pictures!

2. I'm stealing this from my last post, but knee high boots are also great for fall and winter!

3. Layering! I love layering in the colder weather to keep warm, but it is also another way to add dimension to an outfit! Especially when you can mix textures and prints!

4. Printed scarves, I live for these in fall and winter! They keep you super warm while you're looking super chic!

5. Leather! For fall, I'm definitely on the hunt for a leather item to add to my closet. If you're a little bit weary about taking risks with leather, a great option to play it safe is a leather jacket, leather accessories, or even a leather bag. For all my fashionistas who love taking risks, leather pants and skirts are definitely the way to go! A lot of stores are starting to carry leather items, and for the ladies on a budget, faux leather is a great option as well! Currently, I'm on the hunt for a leather skirt, or a pair of leggings with some leather detailing.

6. Sheer Blouses. These were very popular in the summer time, and I think they still will be a great piece to bring into the colder months because most of them have long sleeves so you'll be warm and plus they can be layered! It has been really hard for me to find these, but I did come across a grey one at H&M with silver undertones and I could not pass it up.

7. Lastly, Booties! I have yet to find a pair that I love, but I've seen many that I have liked. There are various prints, colors and textures for booties, and can be found in almost any shoe store! I really like the wedged cheetah print ones, but they just aren't practical for my lifestyle and I wouldn't be willing to splurge on them since I would not get much use out of them! Another reason of why I haven't found any yet, are because the heels are very high on most, which I don't have a problem with... Unless it's winter time. Ice+Killer High Heels= me with two broken legs! Trust me, I haven't broken any bones on my body *knocks on wood* and I would like to keep it that way!

5 Things I'm Loving Right Now

1. Dynamite Leggings: These babies are only $11.90 a pair and they are the best leggings ever! I'm not really a jeans girl, unless I find a pair that I fall in love with, so you can always find me in leggings.

2. Pumpkin Spice Anything: This is not fashion related, but I couldn't resist! Everyone knows that the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frap/Lattes are to die for. Since they're only available in the fall, it's only right that I buy one everyday :P.

3. Knee High Boots: Last winter/fall I bought a pair of these babies and I've been in love with them ever since. They're perfect for dressing up an outfit and adding an instant edge without even trying. My current pair can be found right here!

4. Big Knits: There's nothing better than being comfy and chic at the same time! Where I live, we have winter for about ten months of the year... Okay, not ten months, but it sure feels like it. Big knits are a great way to be comfy and stylish and again, they're totally effortless! They definitely come in handy and there are tons of cute styles to choose from.

5. Converse: I'm not really a sneaker kind of girl, I love flats, boots and all other kinds of shoes that are cute and stylish. I know I may be a little late to finding these, but I'm hooked! I really love the way chucks look on everyone, whether it be girl, boys or even babies! They add instant edge and can spice up any outfit, instantly. Not to mention all of the colors and styles that are available, no matter what your style or taste is, you're bound to find a pair that tickle your fancy!

Sidenote: I really enjoyed thinking and listing 5 things that I'm currently loving right now, so it will be done weekly on my blog. Yay! I hope you guys enjoyed it and have a great Monday :)
